Subject : ZoaForm

A genetically re-engineered creature, designed to be a self contained high power living weapon. Humanity is the only species currently known to have undergone the re-engineering into zoa forms. This is by design, as the human structure has been found so far perfect for the forms choosen to be engineered.

Form Shift
An individual 'combatant' is not only engineered into a completely new 'zoa form', but at the same time retains its origional. Commonly, a combatant remains in his/her's origional form; but is capable of a 'morphological' transformation into the beast form. For the most part, the 'form shift' is mainly a shape change... such as bones re-shapeing themselves; but the properties are also altered by redistributing bio-chemicals through out the body. The redistribution of biochemicals can also change the function of cellular structures... converting such cells as areas of skin tissue into muscle. The 'function change' of cellular material allows for new appendages, and even organs to be developed. It is because a 'Zoa' has been genetically prepared that it is ready for 'form shift' at virtually any instant, requireing little more than seconds for the prepared chemical reactions to take place.

Telepathy
The Central Nervous System of every Zoa Form is modified... not only to manage the 'zoa mode', but also to be managed as an individual, (for a further reference, look under Heirarchy).

An enhancment to a small neural package in the central nervous system allows it to act as a tranciever... which constantly allows the mind of most zoa form models to be rendered as 'readable', and also permits designated outside signals to guide the functions of the mind on various levels. The guiding of mental functions can be used in several ways.. most commonly to feed information and instructions to a combatant, and also to control a combatant's physical functions when necassary.

Like any broadcast system, zoa form telepathy is quite limited by such factors as signal streangth, range and band width. The broadcasts of all zoa forms (except the zoa lord) are similiar in these factors, meaning basic monitering of an individual's status over a considerable range (considerable meening local region) is easily accomplished, regardless of zoa form model. These beta waves are a constant radiation, and are therefor designed to be treated as little more than background noise until usage.

Decay Reaction
With the exception of the Zoa Lord, every zoa form is designed with a chemical reaction at its base frame work (based in the DNA). The 'suicide' reaction unleashes every possible enzyme to break down most molecules in the body. In combination with oxidation and vaporization reactions, the entire mass of an individual combatant can be dissipated. The pre-designed structure of the suicide reaction allows total dissipation to occur within twenty seconds; barely leaving behind those cells that lack DNA.

Triggering of the reactions can accomplished in one of two ways:
O death
O a mental command

When the normal biological functions of an individual combatant are ceased, it has been designed to initiate the suicide reaction. This provides advantages for combat purposes, mainly depriving evidence. For the most part, individuals are capable of leading completely normal lives, with little fear of 'bursting into flames'. The 'triggering by death' can best be defined when the metabolism of tissue is abnormally disturbed in a manner similar to asphicsiation. It can then be said with some certainty that seizure of biological functions are not likely to be caused by the 'suicide reaction', because the conditions that trigger the reaction are the same as cellular death already.

It is possible to 'trigger' the suicide reaction. Although extremely difficult for an individual combatant, a signal through the neural tranceiver is capable of setting it into motion. The central nervous system already regulates metabolism, by forcing the asphicsiation to a sufficient percentage of tissue, a complete break down of the entire body can be induced.

Subject : ZoaForm Hierarchy

Zoa forms are organized into a heirarchy of three groups:
O Zoanoid
O Hyper Zoanoid
O Zoa Lord

Zoanoid
The superior form of life when compared to humanity, yet the zoanoid is the most basic level of zoa form in the heirarchy. Quite simply, the zoanoid is the design for raw power... by this, meaning more effiecient protein groups in muscle, higher oxygen levels in blood, and even better skelital design. Design pending, zoanoid processing can increase an individual's physical capability (power) on average fifteen to thirty times that of a standard human.

In the military heirarchy, the zoanoid level can best be described as the foot soldier, common people using incredible brute force. A full range of design models have been developed for a wide variety of situations and combat environments.

Hyper Zoanoid
The elite... trained and already of noteworthy stock before processing into a zoa form. A hyper zoanoid is an individual re-engineered beyond standard levels, maximizing every potential combat streangth. The abilites are not only greatly increased from the human scale, but completely new abilities are also infused into their structure (providing weapon options far beyond brute streangth).

Due to the advanced power they posses, the design models of this classification can be regarded in military terms as 'special forces'. The typical hyper zoanoid's physical capability (power) ranges one hundred times that of a standard human.

Zoa Lord
The elite... the key stones to the zoa form heirarchy. A Zoa Lord functions primarily as a general, organizing and controlling zoa forms as seen fit. Brute streangth is not the basis for any zoa lord form; but rather the focus of mental energy through it's various incarnations.
