Site Building Resources These are sites where you can find free graphics/animations web related downloads and alot of other stuff that's helpful in building a web site or even just a single page. SmartRedirect - URL forwarding, this is what I use now (The idea being no matter how many times I get fed up with webspace providers my URL will always be the same...) Animation Factory - Free animated gifs, clip art etc. Adeveloper.com - Free Web site development resources... Bells and Whistles - Animations and Graphics For Your Website MediaBuilder - Free fonts, images, animations, and several online tools HotWired: Webmonkey - This is an esspecialy helpful site, lots of Tutorials and info on site construction and many of the newer Web technologies. Website Abstraction- The JavaScript technology Center Matt's Script Archive - site where you can download alot of Perl CGI Scripts for use on your pages. CNET Builder.com - Web Building resources, news, downloads, etc. For more free resources check out my Free Stuff section. Most of the sites there have resources for Webmasters. Free counters, guestbooks, pages, CGI, and Java applets or JavaScript. These are places where you can get free webspace, there are alot more than what I have listed here so if these don't look good try looking through some Free Stuff pages for other servers or search FreeWebspace.Net. Spaceports - nice freespace provider start with 1MB and upgrade to whatever you need. Geocities - Well, can't complain much about them anymore. They've finally traded out their annoying banner popups for smaller ads and gotten rid of those watermark thingys. I guess they're learning. This is the Playgrounds current home & I've only had minor problems with them. FreeWebspace.Net - searchable directory of free webhosting companies, whatever you're looking for in a server this is a place to check for it. It has listings depending on the amount of space offered and tells you things like if the server supports CGI, if they require placing ads on your page and on alot of them, even offer reveiws of the servers. FortuneCity: 100MB (erm... that's alot of space) Free Web Space and Free Email Cybercities: 25MBs of free space, free e-mail. No banner ads. Frames Tutor: just what it says.
